Key challenges for a Field Service Engineer:
At Averna our engineers design, develop, and assemble high-tech test & measurement machines in local production facilities. After assembly, you, the Field Service Engineer, will first validate and test the machines in our workshop in cooperation with the team. Thereafter, you will commission the equipment at our customers’ location.
Our customers are global. You will be traveling up to 50% of the time while experiencing different cultures. You’ll be able to train and interact with local staff and do future maintenance or upgrade of the test & measurement machines in the field. This can be either software, mechanical or electrical maintenance/troubleshooting or repair work. The duration of visits will vary from a few days to several weeks.
In this position you will be the face of the company for many customers and indispensable for achieving a long-term relationship with our customers which is key to Averna!
Commit and contribute to a high-level customer satisfaction by providing best in class support and service;
Troubleshoot problems during service interventions and solve possible incidents through a methodical and process-based approach;
Execute mechanical adjustments, take ownership of possible issues and see them through successfully;
Configure and tune motion systems;
Adjust, validate and calibrate our machines in the field;
Report and communicate relevant activities to designers, project managers and team leaders;
Follow-up service interventions with the customer and the internal teams;
Prepare service concepts and budgets for the sales team in cooperation with the team leader;
Prepare technical training and documentation for customers and relevant internal teams;
Previous experience in trouble shooting (precision) machines;
Strong knowledge of Motion systems; Automation principles; Electro; Pneumatics; Machine safety; Comuter Systems
Knowledge of medical and automotive industries is an asset;
Experience in calibration and validation procedures, TwinCAT, LabVIEW, Vision Systems or Robotics is a plus;
Service oriented attitude;
Ability to easily establish good relationships with customers;
Pro-active, positive, problem solving, structured, autonomous;
Fluent in English; Oriental languages is plus
Ability to quickly adapt to change;
